2008 TRASH COLLECTION AND RECYCLING GUIDELINES

Please Read this carefully and keep a copy at your Eagles Mere home for renters and/or visitors.

Spring Cleanup weekend will be June 19-21st

TRASH PICKUP-
September Through JUNE - Monday only Trash pickups
JULY & AUGUST Trash pickups are Monday & Thursday except Monday Holidays:
2008 Alternate Holiday Schedule: Memorial Day-May 27th, Labor Day-Sept. 4th

Check the Borough or Post office Bulletin Boards for unscheduled changes in November and December for holidays or vacationing employees.

WE REMIND EVERYONE TO:

  1. Place all garbage in bags (no heavier than 30 lbs.) and close securely.
  2. Place garbage bags in cans with lock tight lids if placed at the curb prior to the morning of pick‑up.(Please use a strap if your cans don't have locking lids.) Trash collector is not responsible for cleanup from animals scattering trash.
  3. Place garbage at the Borough street curbside or designated location.
  4. When more than one family is using a pick-up site, please place a sticker or address label on YOUR bags. This helps curtail illegal dumping.
  5. Please make arrangements to remove cans or recycling receptacles from the curb after pick-up if you are not in residence.
  6. Keep curbside garbage boxes clear of snow & ice to assure pick-up.
  7. Do not place bags or cans curbside during a snowstorm.  If a winter storm or holiday prohibit trash pickup, please wait to put your trash out after the street has been cleared or on the next working week day. Be sure they are visible.

These guidelines will expedite pick‑ups, discourage animals from scattering trash and avoid ordinance violations.
