Imagine Eagles Mere without the Conservancy
Many of us see the pressures of development in our backyards at home away from Eagles Mere. Imagine those same forces at work in Eagles Mere and their impact if the Conservancy had not purchased approximately 375 acres of woodlands over the years. With certainty, those striking woods and trails would not all be open for you and your guests to hike, and our lovely wooded lake community would look very different today.
The primary Conservancy’s mission is to preserve natural resources through land acquisition for water and soil conservation, wildlife sanctuary and refuge, and preservation of scenic beauty in Eagles Mere and the surrounding area. The Conservancy’s other missions are to protect the forests and to encourage people to learn about our forests and their inhabitants through our programs.
The practical challenge is that this all comes at a price. Please consider joining the Conservancy to help support our mission, and as you do, think of what Eagles Mere would be like without the Conservancy. We ask that you then decide what your Eagles Mere experience is worth to you and your family.
