Station 51 is a small town volunteer fire company with 14 active members operating 4 pieces of fire apparatus, a Rescue Unit carrying the "Jaws of Life", and an Ambulance Unit. The Volunteer Fire Department runs an average of 45 ambulance calls and 50 fire and rescue calls per year. The Fire Department runs out of two stations and protects a primarily residential area. Station 51 also provides fire/heavy rescue and EMS service to Eagles Mere and surrounding communities. Station 51 is dispatched through Lycoming County Communication Center. Sullivan County also has 9-1-1 capabilities. The members of Station 51 are trained in various areas of fire, rescue and EMS. Station 51 is dedicated to Life, Safety and Property Protection to residents of Eagles Mere and the local communities.
