Damage from Heavy Rains Shuts
 Eagles Mere Toboggan for Season

Eagles Mere, PA. … Damage from last week’s heavy rains has shut down the Eagles Mere ice toboggan slide for the 2010 winter season.  An assessment made this week since the temperature dropped showed that the ice blocks were too badly damaged to be repaired.

The slide was built by volunteers on January 16 but weather conditions prevented opening it for the winter as planned for the January 22 weekend.
